How it works
How it works
Our fractional ablative laser works by delivering targeted beams of light to the skin, removing thin layers of skin with precision. The process stimulates the body’s natural healing mechanism, promoting collagen production and the growth of new, healthy skin cells. This advanced technology allows for deep skin resurfacing with minimal downtime, making it an ideal solution for those seeking effective rejuvenation.

Why we use Ablative Resurfacing Laser
Opting for fractional ablative laser resurfacing means choosing a treatment that offers comprehensive benefits. Not only does it effectively reduce signs of aging and improve skin texture, but it also minimizes pores, corrects pigmentation issues, and reduces the appearance of scars. Its precision and efficiency provide significant improvements, revealing smoother, firmer, and clearer skin.
Expected result
Expected result
Post-treatment, expect a noticeable improvement in skin texture and appearance within the first week as the healing process begins. The treated area may show signs of redness and peeling during this period, which is a normal part of the recovery process. The precise removal of damaged skin layers results in a smoother, more even complexion, with reduced wrinkles, scars, and discoloration. While some results are immediate, the full rejuvenating effects unfold over the next 3 to 6 months as the skin heals, revealing a more youthful and vibrant appearance.

Preparation and Aftercare
Preparation
Preparation
To ensure the best possible results and minimize the risk of complications, follow these pre-treatment guidelines:
- Please arrange comprehensive skin check to exclude any potential skin malignancy or suspicious lesions needing further biopsy.
- Avoid direct sun exposure and tanning beds for 4 weeks prior.
- Discontinue the use of exfoliating skincare products and any medication that induces photosensitivity 1 week before your session.
- Refrain from waxing or using depilatory creams on the treatment area.
- If you have history of oral cold sores or shingles in the treatment area, you should start your anti-viral medication 2 days prior to the treatment and continue for 3 days after the treatment.
During procedure
During procedure
- A topical anesthetic cream is often applied to minimize discomfort during the procedure. This is left on the skin for approximately 30 to 60 minutes before the treatment starts.
- You will be provided with protective eyewear to safeguard your eyes from the laser light.
- The fractional ablative laser device is meticulously passed over the targeted area. The laser emits short, concentrated beams of light that precisely remove layers of skin with minimal heat damage to the surrounding tissues.
- You may feel a sensation similar to a rubber band snapping against the skin, accompanied by a mild warmth. Our state-of-the-art cooling systems work simultaneously to soothe the skin and ensure your comfort throughout the procedure.
- The duration of the treatment can vary depending on the size and condition of the area being treated. Generally, it ranges from 20 minutes to an hour. Our team will keep you informed and comfortable throughout the entire process.
Aftercare
Aftercare
- Immediately after the treatment, a cooling gel or mask may be applied to the treated area to alleviate any discomfort and reduce swelling.
- Sleep and rest with your head and shoulders elevated post-procedure day 0-3 to help minimize the swelling that may occur around the eyes and cheeks.
- Cleanse the treatment area only with gentle soap 3-4 times/day for day 3-5.
- Apply barrier cream (i.e. Stratacel®, Stratamed®) or other equivalent occlusive moisturizer ointment at least 3 times/day to keep treatment area well hydrated until your skin has resumed normal function (5-7 days).
- During the open wound phase (day 0-5), no sunscreen or makeup is worn, and strict sun avoidance is imperative to reduce the risk of hyperpigmentation.
- Avoid hot baths, sauna, sweat inducing exercise for at least 1 week.
- Avoid harsh topical products such as AHAs, BHAs, vitamin A for at least 2 weeks.
- Avoid shaving and waxing in the areas of treatment for 7 days.
